Control your 3D application with Kinect
I first fell in love with Kinect when it was first introduce at E3 in 2009 as Project Natal. It has been available since late November under the name of Xbox Kinect. With a fondness for virtual worlds, Milo and Kate is what first captured my attention. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPIbGnBQcJY

New desktop virtual pet - Available late 2009
Here is an example of AR Technology from Playstation. If you like pets but don't like the mess. Your child will soon be able to have a virtual desktop pet with Playstation Eye. Sony Eyepet is a toy 2.0 application for a younger audience. I love that you don't need a keyboard or mouse to engage, you just use your hands. I find it interesting as technology gets more advanced, the uses and applications get simpler. Available late 2009.
