McGill's library services have a presence on Second Life. On their Island, an avatar can chat with staff, watch streaming videos, and check library schedules. This is an excellent example of Canadian innovation in Virtual Worlds.

McGill and McMaster libraries are both on Second Life.  McGill has a daytime librarian available to answer questions and assist in accessing their digital documents.  They have all of their digital library and digital projects available at the library.  They also have a separate island for their engineering students and a few of their digital projects are available in 3D to walk through.
