- Yvette is involved in Business Development activities with IGLOO Inc.- an innovative web 2.0 start-up specializing in On-demand Communities and Social Networking Solutions. The most recent project Yvette spearheaded for IGLOO was the Manufacturing Innovation Network (MIN) – an online knowledge exchange for Waterloo Region manufacturing companies which aims to assist manufacturers to Build Awareness, Foster Innovation and Compete Globally. When Yvette is not assisting associations, organizations, schools and corporations in developing and deploying their online community solution, she enjoys reading, movies, golf, fishing and spending time with her family.
- Alex recently graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BA(Hons.) in Political Science. He is currently attempting to tackle the CFA Level 1 in June 2009. Outside of a passion for learning and knowledge sharing, Alex is a former National medalist in the 200m butterfly and 2008 Olympic Swimming Trials finalist.
- I am Marketing & Business Development Manager for Arrow ECS Canada. I graduated from McMaster University in 1984 and have worked in the IT industry for 27 years. My first 14 years were with IBM Canada and I have been in channel sales and channel distribution since. I am married with 5 kids.
- Catherine is an Associate Partner with Helix. She has over 25 years of business experience, and 18 years in publishing with three leading global organizations (Thomson, Pearson, and McGraw Hill). Catherine has held a variety of management and senior management positions in sales, marketing, editorial, operations, and IT. She has launched database marketing, direct marketing, e-marketing, and loyalty programs before they became the norm, and has been involved with three separate ERP implementations (JD Edwards, SAP, and Oracle). Prior to publishing, Cathy worked in advertising, retail, banking, utilities, and the not-for-profit sector where she also gained practical knowledge in public relations, media, events, and fundraising as a complement to business and technology. In her most recent position, Catherine was the Vice President of Information Technology and Productivity, a member of the McGraw Hill Executive Team, and a member of the Global Technology Solutions Leadership Team for McGraw Hill Companies globally. Catherine has provided leadership and direction to McGraw-Hill Ryerson’s use of information and was responsible for the company-wide IT and digital strategy. Catherine’s past responsibilities in IT have included strategy and execution in infrastructure and applications, risk management and compliance, IT disaster recovery and business continuity, portfolio and project management, governance, change management, process management, process re-engineering, enterprise content management, enterprise resource planning and transformation, e-commerce, and strengthening IT and business alignment. Catherine is currently a Board member for the CIO Association of Canada, and the former President of the CIO Association Ontario Chapter. She has also served on a number of IT Advisory Boards including the Gartner North American Mid-Size Enterprise Board, has been on various IT/CIO panels, and has been instrumental in fostering key strategic partnerships within the CIO/IT
